Jean-Pierre Kempeneers has over 25 years of experience in the international public sector working in Brussels (European Commission, European Parliament, Royal Philips), Vienna, Tel Aviv as head of the economic and trade section of the Dutch Embassy, NYC as Head of the political department and spokesperson of the Dutch mission to UNHQ, focusing on peace and security, the UN, EU, trade promotion, Human Rights, public-private cooperation. He was also the Chief of Cabinet/Private Secretary to the Dutch Europe Minister.

He is currently doing special assignments for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and until 22 August 2022 he was the Dutch Ambassador and National Coordinator for strategic appointments in international organizations like the UN, World Bank, IMF, OECD, NATO, OSCE, Council of Europe, EBRD and other development banks, IOC and other sports federations and for jr. EU-appointments.

He is a frequent moderator and speaker mostly focused on students.
