What are your sustainable initiatives
Our belief as JDE Peet’s is that together, through the power of our brands, we can unite our actions to deliver impactful change and be a ‘force for better’. Our Common Grounds programme embodies our ambition to positively impact people, our planet, and the future of coffee and tea.
Our strategy consist of 3 pillars:
1. Responsible Sourcing
Initiatives we undertake from making sure 100% of our coffee and tea is responsibly sourced, to engaging with local coffee communities and training them on how to improve their yield, to support in building schools.
2. Minimising Footprint
We have committed ourselves to SBTi (Science Based Target Initiative) to make sure we reach net zero by 2050 but also have shorter term yearly emission reduction goals.
3. Connecting People
Via different ways we make social impact and contribute to a diverse & inclusive way of living (social projects: donating products to local foodbanks and drinking coffee with elderly people).
