Roeland is Country Manager Amazon.nl. He joined Amazon in 2012 and since 2020 manages Amazon.nl focusing on improving selection, pricing and convenience on behalf of Dutch customers. Roeland has established an EU wide sourcing business, and managed Amazon’s EU exports business, where he worked to reduce barriers for cross border shopping for EU customers, with the introduction of multi-language starting with English on Amazon.de – now also available on Amazon.nl – as one of the key improvements. In his previous role, Roeland was managing the EU Make-on-Demand businesses, which focuses on real-time manufacturing customer orders for print books and discs (CDs/DVDs). In this role, he launched our EU T-shirts-on-demand business. Roeland holds three Master’s Degrees – Dutch Civil Law, Tax Law and Tax Economics – from the University of Groningen as well as an MBA from INSEAD (with distinction).
