Roeland Donker

Roeland is Country Manager Netherlands for Amazon. He joined Amazon in 2012, and launched Amazon.nl in 2020. His team is focusing day-to-day on improving selection, pricing and convenience on behalf of Dutch customers. In his first years at Amazon, Roeland established an EU-wide sourcing business, and managed Amazon’s EU exports business, where he worked to reduce barriers for cross-border shopping for EU customers. Afterwards, Roeland was managing our EU Make-on-Demand businesses, focusing on real-time manufacturing customer orders for books and discs. In this role, he successfully launched our EU T-shirts-on-Demand business. After studying Dutch Civil Law, Tax Law and Tax Economics in Groningen, Roeland started his career as banking lawyer and subsequently intellectual property lawyer at Allen & Overy in Amsterdam. He decided to change his career to business by doing an MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Singapore.
