Patricia Zorko

Deputy Director-General - Rijkswaterstaat

In daily practice, close to citizens, our work towards a safe, accessible and sustainable Netherlands becomes concrete. This requires good cooperation with public and private partners. I would like to contribute to that.

Rijkswaterstaat is the executive agency for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, responsible for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the Netherlands’ primary infrastructure facilities. With approx. 10,000 employees Rijkswaterstaat manages and develops the main road network and waterway network plus the main water systems, including our flood barriers. We endeavor to create a sustainable living environment.

In her role as Deputy Director General, Patricia Zorko combines her longstanding experience in public administration and in leading large executive organizations. She was Deputy National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security and held several positions in the Dutch National Police force.

Patricia Zorko is within the board of Rijkswaterstaat responsible for amongst others asset management, sustainability and climate adaptation, sunstainable energy, flood safety, water management and water quality.
