Maxime Wang is Partner and Practice Leader of BDO NL’s Audit & Assurance practice in Rotterdam. He leads one of the firm’s largest audit practices, combining responsibility for audit quality, talent development and business growth with serving complex national and international clients.
With extensive experience in real estate, asset management and international audit engagements, Maxime audits investors, fund managers, developers and large organisations. He is known for his coaching leadership style, entrepreneurial mindset and strong focus on quality, ownership and continuous improvement. Alongside his role at BDO, Maxime serves as a lecturer and examiner at Nyenrode Business University, where he contributes to the development of future accounting professionals. He believes the best results are achieved when curiosity, ownership and collaboration are combined with high standards and the courage to challenge the status quo.

Who or what provided your possibilities?

BDO has been the place where I grew up professionally. I joined as an 18-year-old straight out of high school and, through the trust, opportunities, and challenges I was given along the way, developed into the professional and leader I am today. At every stage, I was empowered to take ownership and create my own journey.
