About Us

At Rijk Zwaan, we develop vegetable varieties and sell the seeds produced from them globally. That puts us right at the start of the food chain, and means that we contribute to the health and well-being of people all over the world. Everything we do is about growth. The growth of natural products that we export around the world. The growth of our company, which currently employs over 3,800 people in 30 countries. And above all the growth of our people: we give you every opportunity to use your own initiative and achieve your full potential.

Company activities:

In the world’s top 5 of globally-operating vegetable breeding companies, Rijk Zwaan holds a mid-position. Growers, processors and retailers constantly want new varieties with new added value. Rijk Zwaan’s breeders continually ensure that our range of varieties is tailored to what the market demands.

After creating new varieties we have to produce the seed. Our seed production spans the globe. The logistics departments then co-ordinate the seed production to ensure it takes place at the correct time and yields the right quantities of the required quality. We sell our seed in more than 100 different countries all over the world.

We are looking for:
Rijk Zwaan continues to expand its activities. We are constantly looking for motivated new employees, who fit in with our company culture. Not as replacements, because there is hardly any staff turnover, but to keep up with on-going growth. The knowledge-intensive branch in which Rijk Zwaan operates demands new colleagues in diverse areas. For instance, we have room for people to work in crops, in the field or in the laboratory, but also in quality control, ICT, commerce and HR. We have positions like these open at our establishments in De Lier and Fijnaart in the Netherlands but also at our subsidiaries abroad.

We aim to stimulate vegetable consumption by introducing appealing vegetables and new versatile concepts, like snack vegetables.
