At Kraft Heinz, we take a cross-functional approach to ESG, integrating socially responsible and sustainable practices throughout our business and value chain as we work to deliver on our goals by the year 2025. For us, ESG is not a nice-to-do; it is important to how we operate as a company and to the success of our long-term business strategy. Our ESG goals and priorities fall under three broad Pillars: Healthy Living & Community Support, Environmental Stewardship, and Responsible Sourcing. We believe in focusing on high-priority issues in areas that matter most – and where we as a company can make the greatest impact.
Some examples of current initiatives are improving our product health & nutrition by achieving 85% compliance with Kraft Heinz Global Nutrition Targets by 2025. We also focus on reducing total sugar in our products by more than 60 million pounds across our global portfolio. Looking at environmental stewardship, we aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, halving same by 2040, and look into reducing energy use intensity by 15% across our manufacturing facilities. We have already managed to purchase 100% sustainable palm oil and 100% of our eggs in Europe are sourced form free-range hens. Furthermore, our goal is to have 50% of our global management positions filled by women by 2025.
