Individual growth comes from action and trying new things, not from ’thinking’ about them in your head
Frans Everts assumed the position of President-Director of Shell Netherlands on April 1, 2023.
Born in Groningen in 1965, Everts grew up mostly in Leiden before returning to his birthplace to study business administration at the University of Groningen. After completing his studies, he began his career at Shell, initially working as a trader for the Pernis refinery. He then held various commercial and strategic positions both domestically and internationally.
Frans Everts was responsible for the network of gas stations in the Netherlands (2001-2004) and worked in various roles in Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In the United States, he served as President of Shell Energy North America, where he was responsible for providing gas and electricity to business customers. He was also involved in the integration of the BG Group into Shell (2016). Before taking on his new role, he spent seven years as Executive Vice President, where he was responsible for global communications at Shell.
Frans Everts sees the transition to cleaner energy as one of his primary responsibilities as President-Director of Shell Netherlands. “Together with partners, we want to make cleaner energy accessible to all of the Netherlands.”
Frans is married and has three daughters.
