Mieke De Schepper has been CEO of Sunweb Group since 1 May 2024. De Schepper is responsible for developing and executing Sunweb Group’s strategy as a leading European Digital Holiday Platform. Prior to Sunweb Group, De Schepper was CCO at Trustpilot and currently a member of the supervisory board of trivago N.V and Just Eat Takeaway.com N.V. Mieke has a background in strategy, product, marketing, and sales, and has led organisations across different tech-enabled industries.
De Schepper also brings broad travel industry experience from her time with recognised industry leaders Expedia Group and Amadeus, where she held executive roles in regional and global positions. De Schepper has Belgian roots and lived and worked abroad for over 20 years before returning to the Netherlands, where she spent much of her early life. Mieke holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.
Where I am today is mainly because of my leadership style and personality. I always empower my teams, but also take decisions when necessary. With my Dutch directness and never give up mentality, new ideas always pop up, as for me the glass is always half full.
