Farshida Zafar, is the Director of the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE), ECE is one of Europe’s leading centres for entrepreneurship, connected to Erasmus University Rotterdam. ECE brings academic insight and real-world practice together, equipping people to create impact within existing organisations as well as through new ventures.
Farshida believes entrepreneurship is a mindset anyone can build, and she has spent her career helping people, organisations, and entire ecosystems learn to think and act like entrepreneurs.
<p>From launching bold educational innovations to expanding ECE’s reach across borders through partnerships with organisations like UNESCO, Farshida works at the intersection of technology, learning, leadership, and impact. A passionate advocate for authentic diversity, and inclusion, she challenges audiences to rethink how we teach, lead, and create change, and to see opportunity where others see obstacles.
Who or what provided your possibilities?
Literally becoming a Dutch resident, as a refugee you can imagine my options were very limited in Afghanistan, and if you consider a network a ‘port’ than that would be a good second.
