As CCO NL of Vattenfall, one of Europe’s largest energy companies, Cindy is as a board member responsible for all commercial activities in The Netherlands. As a top 2 market player Vattenfall Netherlands has over 3 mio customers at Vattenfall BtB and BtC, Feenstra, Delta Energy and Powerpeers and employs a total of 4000 employees. Together with 20.000 colleagues in Europe she is determined to realise Vattenfall’s ambition to become net zero in 20240 by developing fossil free energy solutions and enable the energy transition for all customer groups. Cindy is 49 years old, lives in Berkel and Rodenrijs and is a proud mom of 2 boys of 12 and 8 years old. She studied Business Administration at the Erasmus University from 1994 till 1998, graduated in Strategic Management on the liberalization of the energy market in Europe and worked as a consultant for KPMG before joining Vattenfall in 2003.
Today’s challenges in our business world (and life in general) are all complex and challenge our way of thinking and working. Old solutions and ways of working no longer seem fit to fix the challenges. We need to work together in different settings and from different viewpoints. I stimulate these new network settings, challenge existing decision processes and connect people from different worlds, backgrounds and experiences. That delivers new perspectives and solutions.
