Damla Hendriks (1985), born and raised in Türkiye, is a dynamic leader with a blend of technical expertise and a passion for people. At the age of twenty, she moved to Tilburg on a scholarship to study econometrics, embracing her identity as an “atypical, extroverted math enthusiast.” Her fascination with vibrant financial markets led to a successful career within the financial sector.
Damla became Chief Risk Officer at Van Lanschot Kempen in June 2024. She believes good risk management relies on technical skills and sound behaviour. Thus, she focuses on building strong teams and driving awareness and accountability throughout the company. Damla is committed to motivating others to take courageous steps and values diversity. Outside work, she enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her two children.
