Sander van der Laan (1968) holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Business Administration (Nijenrode University). Sander has more than 20 years’ worth of experience as a retailer and marketer, both nationally and internationally. He started his career at SCA, the former Mölnlycke Tissue Netherlands, and held several marketing & sales positions at Unilever. At Ahold he held several managerial positions, including Commercial Director and CEO of Albert Heijn, as well as CEO of Giant Carlisle (USA). Since 2016 Sander is CEO of Action, the fastest growing non-food discounter in Europe. Today Action counts almost 1200 stores in 7 countries and more than 41.000 employees.
