Maurice Unck has been CEO of the RET, the public transportation company in the Rotterdam area, since 2017. Before Corona RET transported over 650,000 passengers each day (approx. 900 million passenger kilometres in 2018). Unck has extensive experience in the transport industry and studied Dutch & International Law at the University of Utrecht. Later followed by executive education at INSEAD, IMD and the Nyenrode Business University. Unck has held various management positions at NS where he was member of the board of Directors of NS (National Railway Netherlands) between 2014 and 2017. Currently he is also member of the Strategic Advisory Board living environment TNO and chairman of the Supervisory Boards of various public transport related companies.
