Bart Becht is a Partner at JAB. JAB is an investment company focused on superior value creation over the very long run by investing in premium brands with attractive long-term growth and margin opportunities. JAB has controlling stakes in the Coffee & Beverage companies of Keurig Dr. Pepper, Jacobs D’Ouwe Egberts and Peet’s. It also has large or controlling stakes in the Coty Beauty Company, Krispy Kreme Donuts as well as a variety of Quick Service Retail Companies like Pret, Panera, Espresso House and Einstein Bagels. All in all, JAB manages investments in companies, which combined have over $100 billion in Enterprise Value.
Before joining Coty, Bart served as Chief Executive Officer of Reckitt Benckiser, a leading global consumer goods company, from 1995 to 2011, where he achieved an almost 20% per annum return for investors during his 17 year tenure as CEO. Prior to that, he held a variety of marketing, sales and finance positions at Benckiser and Procter & Gamble, contributing to his over 30 years of business experience building consumer brands around the world.
A native of the Netherlands, Mr. Becht holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Erasmus University, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Mr. Becht is a strong supporter of Humanitarian Causes through the work his Family Foundation does with Save the Children and is a notoriously fanatic but sadly enough bad golfer.
